Don’t Let Fear Hold You Back - Make Hay While The Sun Shines

Someone who was interested in purchasing The eBay® Affiliate Blog System package contacted me this week. He was concerned by the rumors he’d heard about eBay shutting down affiliate accounts without warning a few months ago. Perhaps you have some concerns about this as well.

While the rumors are true, it seems that only a small number of eBay affiliates were targeted and many of them were doing things that were against eBay’s terms of use. Unfortunately, some people who weren’t doing anything wrong got their accounts shut down as well. I know of at least one person who got their account shut down for no reason, but he contacted eBay and got reinstated.

It’s only natural to want to avoid finding yourself in this type of situation. In fact, it’s just good business sense to try to anticipate any pitfalls you may encounter in your business so you can deal with them more effectively or avoid them altogether. However, sometimes worrying about stuff that “might” happen can hold you back from doing something which will turn out to be very profitable.

For example, we’ve all probably heard of someone who’s had their Adsense account shut down, but we also hear about people who are making thousands, or tens of thousands, of dollars per month from Adsense. What if those people had decided not to use Adsense on their sites because they were afraid their account would get shut down?

We have a saying in my family, you’ve probably heard it elsewhere as well, “Make Hay While The Sun Shines.” It means don’t worry about what “might” happen, if something is working for you and you’re making money from it, keep doing it until it stops working.

I’ve been an eBay affiliate and been building eBay affiliate blog sites for over a year now. All the sites I’ve built have made money, some more than others. If eBay decided to shut down my affiliate account tomorrow…sure, it would knock me for a loop, but I would pick myself up, dust myself off and find some other affiliate products to promote on all those sites I’ve built and I would continue to make money.

So, don’t let the fear that eBay “might” shut down your affiliate account hold you back from building eBay affiliate sites using The eBay® Affiliate Blog System. Instead, think of all the money you’re losing by not building as many eBay affiliate sites as you possibly can!
